8 Year Old Plays Stairway!!!!!!
Found this little Rockin’ Tot on YouTube and he blew us away with a note for note Jimmy Page impersonation. Notice the sweet bends and finger work? Not bad for a kid in elementary school!
When I was eight years I had no idea Zeppelin even existed and the only fender in my life was the one on my Huffy.
We’re going to do a little more research on this kid.
Stay tuned!

Polish Prodigy Igor Falecki at 4 Years Old!
What can be said about Igor? In our opinion he’s the best thing to come out of Poland since the kielbassa!
Top Drummer Magazine voted him one of their best in 2008! His website is in Polish, but I tried my best to translate:
Playing the drums is the biggest passion of Igor. He got his first instrument in December 2005 and in 2006.2007 and 2008 readers of the magazine Top Drummer chose him “first place” in the category “New Hope”. Since 2007 Igor has studied with excellent drummers such as Dom Famularo, and David Garibaldi. who are among the most recognized teachers in the world.. He has worked with BB King, The Rolling Stones, and David Garibaldi, guitarist with the Tower of Power. Igor is determined to be the most influential drummer in the world.”

Beatles New Beat Toy Guitar!

According to the website selling the guitar:
It was “one of seven models produced by Selcol. The ‘New Beat‘ guitar is made from red and burgundy plastic, and measures approximately 32 inches in length, with a full color group sticker and facsimile autographs on the body. The New Beat logo is picked out in silver to the left of the sound hole. It came with an original coffin-shaped cardboard box with a 9″ diameter full colour sticker on the lid. The package also contained an original fold-out instruction sheet, with lyrics and chords to five songs. Copyright issues prevented any of these from being Lennon-McCartney compositions.”

We are proud to be selling Realistic Rock for Kids, written by Carmine Appice and available in our affiliate store. It is a great way to get you child started on the drums.
Carmine was born Dec 15, 1946 in Brooklyn and was the original drummer for the hard rock band Vanilla Fudge. According to modern drummer magazine. “He set the foundation for heavy drumming … before Bonham, before Ian Paice… before anyone else”
Realistic Rock for Kids is a method written by drum legend Carmine Appice. Similar to his award-winning drum method Realistic Rock, this book shows kids how to play rock ‘n’ roll drums the quick and easy way. It contains the basics of note reading, holding the sticks, simple hand/foot coordination exercises, and more. All of the exercises presented are performed on the accompanying CDs, which include Carmine rockin’ out to some great play-along songs with his band. The Birth of Bubble Gum Rock!

The Archies cartoon started in 1968 and they are considered one of the first animated Bubble Gum Rock band to jam during their show. The actual music for the band was sung by Ron Dante and was released as singles and records. The song Sugar, Sugar was a huge hit and a number 1 single for 4 weeks in 1969. The song was supposedly offered by the producer, Ron Kushner to the Monkees who refused to record it.

Baby Moon!

Keith Moon was one of the worlds greatest drummers. We think he is about 15 in this picture. Looking at his face, can you see just a little bit of a naughty look?
Keith’s father bought him his first set set of drums at the age of 14. Carlo Little was known as London’s loudest drummer, and Carlo taught Keith much of his technique. His first band was called the Escorts and his next group was called The Beachcombers, a surf-rock style band. At 17, Moon joined The Who. The year was 1964 and Rock and Roll would never be the same.
